In order to contribute to the global MIS community with value-added services, FAMIS strives to provide the best available educational resources to the widest range of surgeons all over the world.
Fulbright Medical Instruments Academy has two major long-term programs for continuing education: FAMIS Advanced Surgical Training (FAST) and GET (Global Educational Tour) Master Class. FAMIS began in 2020 and is located in Tijuana, Mexico, while GET started in 2019. Both programs aim to train surgeons and help the development of Minimally Invasive Surgery worldwide. All our courses and programs are led by world-renowned masters in their specialties, including Dr. Almino C. Ramos (Brazil) in bariatric surgery and Dr. Diego Gonzalez Rivas (Spain) in thoracic surgery, both of whom have been integral to the great success we have achieved.
To date, Fulbright Medical Instruments Academy has organized master classes in more than 35 countries, bringing knowledge to surgeons with different backgrounds and experiences. The initial success and the highly acknowledged programs will pave the way for the continuing growth of Fulbright Medical Instruments Academy of Minimally Invasive Surgery.
